The Seventh Of Eight Children Born To An Alabama Sharecropper's Home, John H. Hayes Was Ordained As A Southern Baptist Minister In 1952. He Received A Ba Degree From Howard College (Now Samford University) In 1956 And Has Served As A Minister In Baptist Churches In Alabama, Kentucky, And New Jersey. As A Fulbright Scholar, He Attended New College, Edinburgh In 1956???1957. After Studying At The Southern Baptist Seminary In Louisville (1957???1958), He Received A Bd Degree (1960) And A Phd From Princeton Theological Seminary (1964).
